I was wrong, It came today.

Actually, the Postal Service was wrong, they sent me an email saying it was delivered, when in fact, it was not. I'm going to see if I can install the game tomorrow and give it a try. The packaging was completely intact. I'll upload a pic of it later, the Collector's Edition is really cool, especially when you get it for $10 off of eBay. Updated, photos added.

Age of Conan Overview

Genre:
Fantasy

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is a fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by the Norwegian computer video game developer company Funcom for PCs.[5] The game launched at 9 p.m. (GMT) on May 17, 2008 in a limited way, being available to those who had pre-ordered the game and registered for early access. The full release of the game for North America was May 20, 2008 and for Europe May 23, 2008 for the PC version.[9] Although originally announced as being available for the Xbox 360, the console version is at least a year behind schedule.[8]

A Bittersweet Delivery

Well, Age of Conan arrived yesterday (still in my mailbox). It's bittersweet news, since I can't install it yet. I'm keeping busy with the XBOX though, and the updates to the site that I can do. I heard recently that Age of Conan has been falling apart, the big complaint is that the first 20 levels are amazing, and the rest of the game is sorely lacking (this could probably be said for most games in the genre), and I guess the game's population started at 700k strong, and took a sharp nosedive a few months after launch. I'm going to look into this, since it has me wondering.

Final Score: 4/5

I've never been a fan of Conan.

I'm not into the "I'm so buff I can't hardly move" style barbarian. The one thing that did pull me into Age of Conan, was the Assassin... this character intrigued me. So I gave it a try. Age of Conan was hyped up long before it's launch little more than 6 months ago, many don't believe the game lived up to the hype. I had the benefit of not buying into the hype to begin with, so it had nothing to live up to, I suppose that always helps.

Conan and The Revamp

Well, if you follow the site at all, you'll have noticed some changes lately, I've been in the middle of a re-design, this is the 3rd iteration of the new design, I've dubbed it "Spearmint", in all, the code behind this theme is more solid, and the site is more extensible, plus, I think it looks nicer. With the new them, came a re-brand. The initial logo and site design were mostly tests for another site, I know, I'm ashamed, but this is the true face of mmOverview, so get used to it :D If I have time, I may, in the future do color variations on this theme. So keep an eye out.
