Ambulation, Walking in Stations, Incarna

So many names, so few mentions of a release date. How I long for this long-overdue feature of EVE Online to come to fruition. It seems that WiS has a new name, a new official name, Incarna (incarnation, I suppose). It has been reported that Incarna will come after the winter expansion Dominion and before the new EVE game Dust 514. Dominion will be coming in this fall/winter and Dust 514 will reportedly be released sometime in 2010. One would logically conclude that Incarna will become the Spring 2010 expansion, putting it around March-May. Though there is still no confirmed date.

I was wrong, It came today.

Actually, the Postal Service was wrong, they sent me an email saying it was delivered, when in fact, it was not. I'm going to see if I can install the game tomorrow and give it a try. The packaging was completely intact. I'll upload a pic of it later, the Collector's Edition is really cool, especially when you get it for $10 off of eBay. Updated, photos added.

A Bittersweet Delivery

Well, Age of Conan arrived yesterday (still in my mailbox). It's bittersweet news, since I can't install it yet. I'm keeping busy with the XBOX though, and the updates to the site that I can do. I heard recently that Age of Conan has been falling apart, the big complaint is that the first 20 levels are amazing, and the rest of the game is sorely lacking (this could probably be said for most games in the genre), and I guess the game's population started at 700k strong, and took a sharp nosedive a few months after launch. I'm going to look into this, since it has me wondering.

My Dream Team

If I had unlimited money and unlimited resources to create my ultimate MMO, The first two people I would hire would be Raph Koster (lead designer of the original SWG) and Torfi Frans Olafsson (CCP Games, Senior Technical Producer, current project lead for Ambulation). These two men represent everything I love about MMO's, detail, immersion, sandbox design, skill based systems, freedom, control, roleplaying, social interaction, player driven content.

On a whim

I picked up Hellgate: London two days ago, and I haven't stopped playing it since. Let me preface this by stating that my brother and I both played Diablo 2 all the way through, twice. Playing a game in it's entirety is not something I regularly do, do in part to my ADD. Hellgate was designed by the same guys that designed Diablo 2, so it's no surprise that I'm drawn to this game.

Free Persistant Cartoons and other Anomalies

I just learned about Battlefield: Heroes today while I was reading Penny Arcade and I have to say that I'm thrilled to death that games of all types are moving towards persistence, that is to say, that you create a character and the character can advance in ranks or levels and acquire items and skills in the process.

Welcome to the madness!

Well, the site's not 100% complete yet, in fact, it's probably only around 10-15% complete, so what are you doing here reading this?? Come back when it's done!

Or you could stick around and see how things develop. Stan and I have great plans for this site, we're intending to develop a strong community of MMO players, as well as develop multiple "portal" sites for all major MMO games currently on the market, and in development.
