The Care Bear Reviewer
Yup, that's me!
I am the Care Bear Reviewer.
Along with InterestingJohn I'm a site admin here at mmOverview.com so I figured you all deserved to know a little about me and my MMO experience.
I'm all for getting down and dirty, rolling in the mud and the blood with the rest of the guys. But you're much more likely to find me going for a roll in the hay so to speak. Taking some time out of my character's busy day to throw a few back at the local pub and talk with other people there.
That's right, I'm *gasp* a role player and I tend to enjoy non-traditional playstyles such as crafting and entertaining. My characters are usually more at home in the corporate office than toting a sword out on the fields of battle. And I rarely go in for combat PvP. Let me overtake the other players financially and I'm happy--it's my form of PvP.
Many of you know me from my experience with Sony Online Entertainment's Star Wars Galaxies game where I spent the past five years of my MMO experience. During my time with SWG I served as Entertainer Correspondent, Musician Correspondent, Senator, and Legacy Senator. I have been through innumerable changes and mood swings with that game. And yes, because of my general choices of non-combat characters I have become known as a care bear. Nothing's wrong with that. I'd rather be a care bear than a combateer--one step ahead of a mouseketeer.
My SWG experience also gave me years of experience in dealing with forum communities and I've become quite the forum rat since then, so I'm also the main forum moderator around here. I may be a care bear in-game, but watch yourself in the forums. I've learned from experiencing the best. Trust me, with some of the things SWG has been through, their forum mods have to be the best. haha
In addition to SWG I have played EVE Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Second Life, Lord of the Rings Online, City of Heroes, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and Pirates of the Burning Sea. So I like to think I've had experience with a large variety of games in both style and quality.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to get to know all of you better over the years as this community grows and we experience the newest and greatest MMOs out there!
